Teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Mahraj to Their Sanggat

Teachings to Sanggat of Anandpur Sahib
Before Guru Ji left for yatra towards Patna Sahib, they imparted some useful teachings to the sanggat to make this precious human life worthwhile.

1. Do kirt kamai (earn living) that does not involve any paap (sin).

2. Keep doing Simran while doing kirt kamai and keep consciousness in Parmatma.

3. Do not waste any breath by making every breath worthwhile.

4. Take out time & wealth to do sewa of sanggat. Everything is attainable through sewa of Sadh Sanggat.

5. While doing sewa, put effort to calm your mind.

6. Constantly reflect on your state of mind progress.

7. Either focus your consciousness on Guru Charan or in Shabad.

8.  Direct your mind to the right direction, away from vikaar (vices). The mind is like water, wherever you channel it to, it will flow towards that direction.

9. When having Sukh (happiness), do not have Hangkar (ego) and see it as a gift from Parmatma.

10. When facing any Dukh (suffering), don’t be afraid and accept it as result of our own past karam and do not blame Parmatma. Be grateful for the karam being cleared (like a pus being pressed hurtfully to remove the impurities).
