Bachan by Guru Har Rai Ji Mahraj about their 10th Form, Kalgidhar Patshah Ji.
Once, Guru Har Rai Ji stopped on a hill while travelling & did not utter anything. The sanggat also stood with them until they got tired & asked Guru Ji on the reason they stopped at this place. The Sanggat added that there is no beautiful scenery to admire here yet You have been gazing here for a long time. Guru Ji replied “ Guru Nanak Dev Ji Mahraj came into this world to liberate the Sanggat from hypocrisy (ਪਖੰਡ) by constructing the boat of devotional worship. However, I am now looking how this boat carrying the Sanggat to liberation is stuck in heavy waves. It has reroute to various other places. Only some are reaching the actual destination and some boats are broken leaving the Sanggat scattered.”
Sikhs listening this got afraid and pleaded Guru Ji to explain further. Guru Ji smiled & said “Sikhs are now being misled in confusion because Masands (leaders) that were supposed to lead the Sanggat has gotten greedy & started acting as Guru themselves. Innocent Sikhs are being misled away from the true path. In this way the boat constructed by Guru Nanak Dev Ji is in pieces.”
Worried sanggat listening to Guru Ji said “when You are present, the very same form of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, how would this happen? Bless us Guru Ji. When will you fix your own boat? Will this boat ever get repaired? If it doesn’t, then this will bring shame to You as well because we are all known as Your Sikhs after all. There is nobody like you Guru Ji, will you continue blessing us?
Listening to the Sanggat benti, Guru Ji said “ This boat will remain in this manner for a while now where the Masands will continue further misguiding the Sanggat. But do not worry, I shall be wearing by 10th robe (form) at that time & be a strong holder of both Degh & Tegh. I shall punish all the hypocrites and bring peace to the real Saints. That is when I shall join back this broken boat and initiate a pure Panth. There would be a strong Parchar of the real path and all confused Sanggat will climb back on the complete boat. This boat will carry them across this world ocean. I shall take care of my own scattered Sanggat in this way. My Sikhs then will have one pointedness devotion in the complete Panth that will carry them to liberation. This is the Panth that I shall initiate in my 10th form.”
Listening this, the sanggat was delighted and said Guru Ji, You are great and those that see you as Parmatma is also great. All sanggat then bowed upon Guru Mahraj in happiness 🌸.

Bachan about Kalgidhar Patshah Ji by their grandfather, Guru Hargobind Ji Mahraj.
When Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Maharaj was a child, they used to be pretty quiet and reserved compared to their other siblings. Despite that, Guru Hargobind Ji, their father was very fond of them. One day Mata Nanaki Ji asked her husband, Guru Hargobind Ji on why they are very fond of their youngest son. Guru Ji then answered that "Nanaki Ji, this child is a Maha Purakh that you have been blessed to have given birth to. He is with neither attachment nor enmity to anyone.
My boon for this child is that his son (Kalgidhar Pathah Ji) will be an Utam (exalted) Purash that no Avtar (incarnation) in this world be able to be equivalent to. He will not only have a strong eminence (Partap) in this world but will also be the destroyer of the evil. He would bring further glory in the house of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj and uphold Dharam. His praises will be sung in this world and beyond. This is why I give very high respect to this youngest son of mine whose son in future will be a great Avtar".
Mata Nanaki Ji narrated this bachan of her husband to Bhai Makhan Shah at Baba Bakala and later on reminded her son, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji of this particular Bachan of 6th Patshah again during their yatra expressing her longing to have Darshan of her grandson. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji assured Mata Ji that she will have Darshan of her grandson before leaving to Sachkand. Mata Gujri Ji also reminded her husband of this same bachan of 6th Patshah when Guru Ji was leaving for further yatra & Kalgidhar Patshah Ji's parkash day was getting near.
