Sadh Sanggat vs Solitude

One should remain Sadhsang, while one is also to remain in solitude. What is the difference?

This is a question often occuring in mind of a Sikh. In our Sikhi journey, both of this elements of solitude and Sadh Sanggat is important and serves different purpose.

The answer is that the guidance and clarity about Sat marag (path of truth) is obtained through public practice. When this understanding has become embedded within seeker, the good qualities (inner virtues) should be cultivated in private.

This epitomise the threefold of sravan, manan, nididhyasan (hear-contemplate-implement) where the knowledge gained through public practice is finally implemented via meditation in solitude
